Day 1 - Nairobi to Olpejeta

Transfer from your Nairobi hotel Olpejeta. On arrival you will be met and transferred to the Sweetwater’s camp arriving in time for lunch. Ol Pejeta Conservancy and its sumptuous ranch were once the private domain of famed multi-millionaire, Adnan Khashoggi. We visit the Chimpanzee Sanctuary, a charming haven established by the Jane Goodall Institute to provide sanctuary to orphaned chimps, and the specially protected and fenced refuge of black rhino with its stunning forty specimens! In fact, Sweetwater’s boasts excellent game viewing with the highest ratio of game to area of any park or reserve in Kenya. Moreover, the camp has its own private waterhole and saltlick so we’ll be guaranteed unprecedented close encounters. Whether its day or night game drives, camel trekking, lion tracking, al fresco dining or relaxing by pool, Sweetwater’s is bound to delight.

Day 2 - Olpejeta

A full day at Sweetwaters with morning walk followed by bush breakfast, lunch at the camp and afternoon game drive. Our two-night stay here provides ample time to explore surrounding game reserves. Game drives at Sweetwater’s are indeed a pleasure. Game viewing may also take the form of game walks accompanied by our Resident Naturalist and game rides on horseback. Camel riding, night game drives and "bush" lunches or dinners are a delight. The Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary is incorporated within the Ol Pejeta Conservancy and is the only place in Kenya where this highly endangered and remarkably intelligent species can be seen.
